Soft Green Crystalline Glaze with Organic Mineral Patterning

Tremolite Studio Line Crystalline Glaze develops soft green crystal formations with organic mineral-style patterning and warm areas where the clay body shows through. Darker edging around parts of the crystalline growth adds definition, while the gloss surface gives the varied green and earthy tones a distinctive fired character.

Choose Tremolite when you want a softer green crystalline surface where both crystal growth and exposed clay can contribute to the finished appearance. Crystal size, colour and distribution can change with glaze thickness, clay body and firing conditions, so test the glaze on your chosen body and firing schedule before using it on important work.

• Known to flow during firing, so keep heavier application away from the base and allow for glaze movement.
• A standard Cone 6 firing at around 1220°C can develop crystal formations with a soak.
• Extended or stepped cooling can encourage larger or more complex crystal growth.
