Ocean Backwash - Studio Line 'By the Sea' Stoneware Reactive Glaze 550ml

Ocean Backwash is a bold blue Milton Bridge Studio Line 'By the Sea' reactive stoneware glaze, designed to create rich ocean colour, glossy depth and naturally varied kiln-fired effects. This reactive stoneware glaze develops deep blue tones with speckled, wave-washed variation, giving pottery pieces a dramatic coastal finish.

This is a strong choice for statement stoneware, especially where you want a darker sea-inspired surface with plenty of movement. Ocean Backwash works beautifully on mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured ceramic pieces, with the reactive finish helping to emphasise carved detail, rims and surface texture.

• Colour & finish: Deep ocean blue with speckled reactive variation and a glossy finish
• Firing range: Cone 4–9, approx. 1180–1280 °C
• Best for: Statement pottery, coastal ceramics, mugs, bowls, vases, planters and textured stoneware
• Application: Stir well, then apply 2–3 even coats by brush, sponge or stamp, allowing each coat to dry

Reactive glazes can break, pool and move differently depending on clay body, glaze thickness and firing conditions. We recommend testing first and avoiding very heavy application near the foot of the piece.
